Proxy
Proxy Angels are very powerful, compact beings. They are described as a small orb of light with transparent, insect-like wings. Their orb bodies are about the size of an average human fist. They tend to glow almost constantly, though at varying degrees, and are seen in all sorts of colors imaginable. Proxies float and fly, almost never, ever touching the ground. Immediate contact with anyone or anything is usually avoided but mainly for reason that they simply do not like being touched. You might suspect that they would leave trails of dust in the way that fairies do but they do not. When a Proxy talks their voice is often feminine and sometimes echoing. They have no gender and no sexual organs. They usually attach themselves to other beings, living inside another person for mutual benefit. They are a well respected species.

Origin & Societal Influence
Proxies are referred to as the beating heart of Argenelle. They are creatures of calmness and clarity, invoking guidance and assurance. They are born, quite rarely, at the Procury Fountain on Argenelle. The Procury Fountain is a natural fountain, known as the center of magic in the whole universe. It is unknown how exactly proxies are formed and come to life, making them a true secret of the heavenly world. They make up about 10% of the population on Argenelle but are perhaps the best representation of what their world offers. They are often dependent on others for protection, partnering themselves with another as their host. They may refer to their host as master, sovereign, provider, etc, though this does not necessarily mean they are submissive towards the host.
Parasitism
When a proxy enters the body of another they connect to them in a way no other can. The proxy is in full communication with the host's organs and vital systems, though the proxy does not gain control over their host in any way they can gain access to the status of their overall health and condition, occasionally being able to detect their emotional state. The only thing they can't gain access to is the host's thoughts. A proxy cannot communicate telepathically with its host, instead its voice is projected outward from the host's chest region for all to hear. For the most part a proxy simply exists inside another being, unable to be harmed by any outward force. If the host is injured the proxy doesn't necessarily feel anything.
Proxies anchor themselves inside other beings as a way to protect themselves and use the host as a source of energy but its also of benefit to the host. While a proxy feeds off of the host's energy, which means the host's energy can feel slightly depleted, the proxy can also give or return energy to the host when they may be lacking it. Proxies are made up of energy so they generally have a lot of it and are able to share the energy they store with their host, keeping them both sustained. A proxy is also powerful enough to use their energy to heal the host's minor wounds, helping them to get back up on their feet. In some cases they've been able to keep the dying alive for a little longer than they would have otherwise. A proxy usually wants its host alive. However, a proxy can kill themselves in the act of giving away its energy, if it were to give it all away to save another.
Another perk to being host is the proxy automatically grants you actual angel-like wings, usually feathered and white, no matter the humanoid. The proxy doesn't even control the wings, they are merely an add-on effect. These wings can even be dissolved or materialized at the host's will. Ah yes, it feels good to be a host. Of course, this is one of the main reasons a proxy will almost never enter a being they do not trust or like.
A proxy can be removed from the body in extremely unpleasant ways. There is a known herbal medicine that causes a bit of pain to the proxy, though it is rather nauseating for the host, nausea for which can last several days. Celestials and Archangels have been known to be able to pull proxies out of people, which may occasionally be painful to the host depending on how hard the proxy fights back. Simply exerting yourself to the point of exhaustion, plus exerting all the energy provided by the proxy, may forcibly cause the proxy to leave. Other ways to force the proxy out are usually unadvised.
Death
When a proxy dies its wings dissolve and its glowing light gradually dims until it is gone. The only thing left is a small marble orb of the same color as it once glowed. Proxies are immortal but that doesn't mean they cannot die, it only means they can live eternally so long as they consume energy and aren't killed by another.
